Cooking Full Tilt: Reuben Wrap
Captain Rick, aboard the Elf, the world’s oldest racing yacht, prepares a dish inspired by television talk show host, Rachael Ray. On tour in Philadelphia the Elf pulls in at Independence Seaport Museum at Penn’s Landing. The students that worked on the Elf’s rigging and other vessels at the museum take the opportunity to exercise their nautical skills and sail the Elf. Everyone’s hungry and Captain Rick realizes he has to stretch the meal to give all aboard a quick and healthy snack. Inspired by Rachael Ray in her creation of the Philly cheese steak roll up, Rick modifies his famous Reuben sandwich into a Reuben wrap.

In this recipe, sour cream reacting with egg in a slow cooking method make the omelet extra light while holding its consistency.
Rick also showcases the craftsmanship and quality of construction on the Elfs tender, Vida, constructed by the crew at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Vida made its debut at Philadelphias Independence Seaport Museum at the launch of the Silent Maid this year.
